TRIP ITINERARY

Day 1 -Depart USA
Day 2 – Arrive Rome

After making your way to the hotel in Rome, your day is free is explore this ancient city. Tonight, meet your Tour Manager and get to know your fellow travelers over dinner. Then hit the streets for some sightseeing. D

Day 3 – Rome
A full free day to explore the treasures of Rome. Your chance to join a tour through Imperial Rome with a local guide, before time to visit St.
Peter’s Basilica, the Spanish Steps or check out the shops. B

Day 4 – Rome to Florence
Our morning drive leads us to Florence, the Renaissance city set in the beautiful Tuscan Hills. Learn about the Duomo, Giotto’s Bell-Tower, Piazza della Signoria and Santa Croce as our local guide walks us through the city. Free time to shop or visit one of the famous museums. B & D

Day 5 – Florence

Uncover the amazing masterpieces of Michelangelo’s Florence. Watch a Florentine leather craft demonstration, shop along the Ponte Vecchio and get your lips around some fine Tuscan cuisine before hitting up the Florentine nightlife.  B

Day 6 – Florence
Enjoy a day trip out to the Tuscan countryside, stopping in historic San Gimignano. Later, delight in the wines of the region before heading back to Florence for an evening at your leisure. B

Day 7 – Florence to Venice
A short drive to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower before we travel to our hotel near the fairytale city of Venice. B & D

Day 8 – Venice

This morning we take a motor boat to the central islands of Venice. In your free time explore St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doges, Palace or the Guggenheim museum. Why not join us later on a gondola ride through the canals of this amazing city? B

Day 9 – Depart Venice/Rome

Time to say farewell to your new-found friends as you tour ends after breakfast in Venice, or you can join us for a free transfer to Rome where your tour will end upon arrival at approximately 7:00pm. B

Montebuoni Tuscan Dinner 38. Euro
Montebuoni is a charming 16th Century building set in the scenic Tuscan hills. It’s the venue for our truly traditional Tuscan evening. Begin with a cocktail and an excellent antipasta buffet. Next is delicious freshly made pasta and a wonderfully aromatic main course all washed down with some local Chianti wine. A truly special evening.

Space Electronic Disco 12. Euro
A chance to dance the night away at Florence’s largest night-spot. Your first drink is included in the price and will get you started for an evening of fun. Enjoy the great music and maybe take the opportunity to show off your karaoke skill.

Guided Imperial Tour 26. Euro
Join a local guide for an excursion back in time. You’ll wander across the cobbled stones of the Roman Forum, marvel at the Colosseum and learn why the glory of Imperial Rome still stands out in the history of western culture. Price includes entry into Forum and Colosseum.

Transportation

Traveling to Italy:

Airfare is not included in this vacation package, because of the great bargains available online during this time of year. Try the Discount Air button above to compare airfares from your home city. Do not book your flights until we confirm your space.

Departing the U.S. to arrive in Rome (airport code FCO).

Note:
This tour ends in Venice, and if you find a good flight home, you can plan on departing from Venice the last day. Most guests transfer to Rome, arriving by 7pm, and stay in Italy an extra night, and then fly home the next day.

End-of-trip transfer from Venice to Rome is FREE and included in the basic package. When you’re booking your flights, if you do not find an economical evening flight from Venice, we can provide a post-trip night in Rome.

We allow friends to share rooms both male and female upon request and often couples to join European departures
