FAQ

Why singles group travel?

Singles travel can offer an exciting alternative to the same old “week off” vacation thinking. When you travel with us, you will be in the company of other singles from all over the country—all sharing similar vacation interests, passions and a desire to try the same travel adventures. A great singles vacation is more than a destination—add in the excitement of meeting and making new friends, learning or progressing in a favorite sport, or just enjoying a quiet beach. Your only job is to kick back and have a good time!

Give us a week, and we will give you back new friends, great adventure and a vacation you won’t soon forget!

The Singles Supplement, Explained

When we build a vacation package, we take the cost of the hotel or cruise cabin and divide it in half, so each person is only responsible for half the room. If a guest decides they would be more comfortable in a private room, they ONLY pay for the other half of the room. We do not penalize or earn extra money for the upgrade to private.

What are the ages of the other singles?

It is not our policy to track the ages of our guests. Our primary focus is to provide a great singles vacation experience. It is a question on our registration form, but only because our cruise and airline partners require the information for security purposes. Your travel information is strictly confidential. However, for many trips, we do specify preferred ages. For example, “baby boomer cruises” are for singles over 40, and “spring break cruises” would be ideal for a single in their late 20’s or very early 30’s. These are not firm rules, but rather guidelines. Always check the specific vacation description page for trip requirements.

Do I have to stay with the group?

No obligations, just choices. It’s your vacation, so it’s always your option to hang and play with the group or not. You are always invited to all activities and parties, but again, it’s your vacation, and you can do as you please. You are never obligated to anything… except to have a good time!

How soon before travel do I need to commit?

When we post a trip, we reserve a number of rooms and air connections at the quoted price. The sooner you book, the greater the chance of confirming at the lowest prices. Booking less than 90 days in advance can often mean a higher price, because many groups vie for the same discount airfares and room reservations.

What does “on-site staff” and “host” mean?

Some travel excursions are hosted, which means that often en route and always at the destination, we have one or more travel professionals on hand to manage your entire vacation. That’s a great plus, because you can leave the business of vacations to us. Just relax and enjoy! Check the trip description to determine if there is on-site staff available.

For many destinations and sports camps, we are not permitted to bring our own staff, because of insurance or specific skills which might be required. In those cases, we contract with and rely on our destination partner to provide that support.

For event-related vacations, such as NASCAR, we do not provide any hosting services. For those destinations, there is so much going on, our staff would be a distraction from the main event—which is the reason for the vacation in the first place. We provide the hotel, a roommate if desired, happy hour arrangements, transfers, and event tickets.

What is Roommate Matching?

Unless you take the single supplement, we will assign you a roommate based on gender and age. We make every effort to honor any reasonable special requests.

What are the “extra activities”?

At some destinations, we arrange an array of extra activities. These are usually specific and appropriate to the venue, such as backcountry skiing and snowmobiling at our ski destinations, and paragliding and deep sea fishing at our beach destinations. But again, it’s your choice to join or not. In all cases, these have associated charges and are not included in our ground packages.

Does group travel cost more?

No, quite the contrary. Generally speaking, group travel costs are sometimes less than what you might pay if you called your own travel agent to book a trip. However, to create our packages, we do add many extras, such group meals, hosting, and some extra activities—all of which add to our price. Being a singles organization, we want to provide plenty of opportunity for everybody to meet and socialize, but at the same time, give you as much value for your vacation dollar as possible.

How do I pay for my vacation?

You can make full payment by clicking on the PayPal button that appears after registration. For some trips, our vendors collect your payments directly, and in those cases, no PayPal link will appear. Upon completion of registration, the vendor will contact you directly to arrange payment.
