Can I book the cruise by myself and join up with the group?
No. If you want to be able to enjoy our value added package and exclusive benefits, then you need to book directly with us.

Is the entire ship single?
No the entire ship is not single guests. Our group is an exclusive singles group of anywhere between 200-300 guests. There will be an additional 1,500-1,800 passengers on the ship.

What is the age group for this cruise?
The age range varies anywhere from 20's to 50's with a good mix of all ages.

What is the ratio of men to women?
You will find the ratio on our cruise to be very even. We do our best to make sure that there are similar numbers of men and women, so that everyone has a good time. After all, this is a singles cruise!

What does the cruise cost?
The cruise pricing is listed under reservations, and varies depending on the room you choose. In addition to the cost of the room on the ship, you will be required to pay port charges of $139, a government tax of $63 and a $60 gratuity package for the cruise ship, which does not include tips at the bar. The pricing does not include airfare to and from Ft. Lauderdale either, but we will be more than happy to book that for you through Costa Cruise Lines.

Is there anything not included in the price? Yes. Port charges, government tax, a gratuity package and airfare are not included in the cost of the trip. You will also be responsible for your own salon and spa services, optional insurance ($99), phone calls, faxes, alcohol, souvenirs and laundry.

What is the price of a single cabin?
Single cabins are available at an additional 80% of the cruise prices. Port charges, taxes and the gratuity package stay the same.

Are suites available and at what price?

Is the flight included?
No. Airfare is not included.

What time should I book my own flights?
You should book your own flight to arrive in Fort Lauderdale anytime before 4 p.m. Your return flight should be no earlier than 12 p.m.

What about tipping?
As a part of our package we charge a $60 pre-paid for gratuities for the week. This covers your tipping for all dining staff, the matre'd and the cabin stewards. It is at your discretion if you wish to tip anymore than that.

When does the cruise depart and return?
This cruise begins on Sunday February 12, 2006 and returns on Sunday, February 19, 2006. All passengers are expected to be on board the ship by 4 p.m. for departure. We expect to return to port by 9 a.m. on Sunday, February 19.

What Islands will be visited?
We will depart from Ft. Lauderdale and head to San Juan, St. Thomas, Catalina Island, and Paradise Island.

How much luggage can I bring?
There is a maximum of 200 lbs. of luggage per person.

Will I need ID, Passport, birth certificate, etc?
You will need a passport or state certified birth certificate and photo I.D.

How are the meals?
One of the most important rules of a vacation is that no one goes hungry! Begin your day by breaking bread at the ship's bountiful buffet served on the outdoor terrace. For lunch, join friends and indulge in the luxury of the main restaurant or choose the lavish buffet on the deck. On the islands you can either sample some of the islands cuisine or go back to ship.

How are Dinners?
Our dinners are a glamorous 6-course event. Round robin seating will allow you to share each day's adventures with new-found friends. Cozy bistros serve authentic Italian pizzas, gelato, cappuccino and espresso. Make sure to leave room for the dazzling midnight buffet!

The best part about a Vacation is meeting lots of new people. Friendships flourish on our trips. That's because people have a great time. They kick back, relax and share common experiences and adventures. The friendships you make here may last a week or a lifetime.

What If I am traveling alone?
If you're traveling by yourself you'll find it easy to mix and mingle, and we'll pair you with a roommate.

Is this for singles only?
Our guests are predominantly singles, but if you were thinking of joining us with a partner, I can assure you that you will both have a great time.

Is it OK to travel on my own?
Absolutely. You will find that most of the guests that have booked so far have booked on their own. We will match you with a roommate for the week. How many people do you have signed up?
We are expecting a sold-out cruise of 300 guests! Space will be limited so you need to book early. So don't leave it too late to make your reservation. This will be the best vacation that you will ever take.

The Ship (Costa Mediterranea)
The Costa Mediterranea is an Italian masterpiece! It is one of the newest and finest ships at sea. Europe's finest designers spared no expense to make her one of the most comfortable and elegant ships afloat. We have reserved 300 berths of the Mediterranea's capacity of 2114 passengers. With a staff and crew numbering 920, it's the perfect size ship.
The cabins are generously proportioned and luxuriously appointed. There are nightclubs, a disco, a casino, lounges, restaurants, fitness center and a spa to take your breath away! As well as tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. The outside decks are geared for fun and relaxation with swimming pools, a jogging track, bars, solariums and more!

What makes this cruise different from any other singles cruises?
Most other singles cruises offer packages that just include a cocktail party and the cruise ship activities. You are left on your own to work out what to do on the islands and what to do when you get back on the cruise ship.

Cancellations, Insurance and Flight Deviations
60 days prior (Nov 1st)
If you cancel 60 days prior to our departure date of February 12, 2006, you will have a full refund. 59-30 days prior (Nov 2)
If you cancel 59-30 days prior to our departure date of February 12, 2006, you will be refunded your cruise package, less a $200 fee. 30-14 days prior
If you cancel 30-14 days prior to our departure date of February 12, 2006, you will be reimbursed for 50% of your cruise package. Less than 14 days prior
If you cancel less than 14 days prior to our departure date of February 12, 2006, you will not receive a refund.
